Sharov Andrey

Sharov Andrey (1966, Moscow).

Andrey Sharov was born in Moscow in 1966. He began to engage in painting and drawing in the mid-80s, in the workshops of S. Shlykov and S. Selitsky. Then I studied at the Moscow Institute of Technology. Sharov studied to become a clothing designer, and at the same time continued to paint. And these two directions, perhaps, largely determined what he does to this day. After 9 student years, he never received a diploma. But by the time he completed his studies, he had already exhibited in Moscow, Kyiv, London and Cologne, and worked with the Student Fashion Theater. In 1992, Sharov’s collaboration with the Roman Viktyuk Theater began, then active work: “Tabakerka”, Mossovet Theater, Theater on Malaya Bronnaya. In 1997, he was awarded the prestigious theater prize "The Seagull" for the costumes for the play "Dear Friend" at the Mossovet Theater. And a year later, his work in “Confession of the Adventurer Felix Krul” in the studio theater under the direction of O. Tabakov was nominated in the same nomination. In the mid-90s, he even worked for the circus. For almost 20 years, Sharov made more than 45 theatrical performances. One of the latest works is in Sovremennik. Since the 90s, he has already become a recognized fashion designer who shows his own collections in Russia and abroad. Since 1997 - full member of the Association of Haute Couture and Prêt-à-Porter. He created his models not only for the catwalk, but also for famous people: A. Pugacheva, G. Sukachev, A. Domogarov, L. Gurchenko, M. Terekhova, S. Bezrukov, A. Shirvindt, M. Kazakov, A. Sviridova, E. Beroev, E. Kryukova. Sharov even managed to bring fine art to the world of car racing: in 2006, at the request of Renault, he created the design of a Formula 1 car for world champion Fernando Alonze. Like a true artist, Sharov sees the unusual in the banal. He constantly creates variations on his favorite themes, repeating and at the same time changing, for example, the motif of a still life with pears. Here the form seems to recede into the background, and the viewer finds himself under the pressure of the elements of color. Lighting fills simple objects with other meanings, conveying different states: from sheaves of bright sun to the gloom of night, from flame to calm. The intonations in the portrait works are completely different in style. Sharov recently became interested in photography and enjoys taking pictures of his friends, telling them that he is interested in making psychological portraits. His picturesque portraits are incredibly rich in color, bright and clean, where everything unnecessary seems to be cut off.
