Shelkovenko Konstantin Konstantinovich (1920–2004)

Soviet painter. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. Born in the village. Snegirevka (Ukraine). In 1940 he graduated from the Moscow Art and Pedagogical School in Memory of 1905. K.K. Shelkovenko painted landscapes, portraits, and still lifes. In his early work there are industrial motifs, reflecting changes in life rising from the military devastation of the country. Thematic still lifes brought the artist the greatest fame.
