Sheloumov (Shelumov) Afanasy Ivanovich. Battle painter. He studied in the battle painting class of the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts under N. Samokish. In 1930 he took part in the Great Exhibition of Russian Art in Belgrade. From 1945 he lived in Starnberg, near Munich. In 1962 he held an exhibition in Munich dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the Patriotic War of 1812, as well as a number of personal exhibitions (1972, 1978, 1979). The works are kept in museums in Yugoslavia, Germany and the USA.
