Shilder Andrey Nikolaevich (1861 - 1919).

Russian painter, son of the artist N.G. Schilder Landscape painter, theater artist. Student I.I. Shishkina (since 1878). Lived in St. Petersburg. In 1880 he received the First Prize of the Society for the Encouragement of Artists for the painting “Fog in the Mountains”, in 1883 - a small encouragement medal from the Academy of Arts. Since 1903, academician of landscape painting. Participant of exhibitions since 1883 (academic, TPHV, All-Russian and others.). Paintings by A.N. Schilder was exhibited at the 1st exhibition “Blanc et Noir”, his works were published in the magazine “World Illustration”. The author of a panorama of Nobel's factories, which was shown at the All-Russian Nizhny Novgorod Exhibition in 1896. He painted landscapes using the motifs of his teacher I.I. Shishkina. The artist’s works are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, in museums of Astrakhan, Kursk, Nizhny Novgorod, Taganrog, Rostov-Yaroslavsky, Kostroma and other cities.
