Austrian painter and graphic artist. A student of the famous modernist Gustav Klimt and one of the most notable Austrian expressionists of the 20th century. In his works, he took a new look at human sexuality and questioned current standards of beauty. Egon Schiele wrote almost 300 works and several thousand drawings. The artist’s favorite subject is self-portraits, some in the nude genre.
