Shishkin Ivan Ivanovich (1832, Elabuga - 1898, St. Petersburg).

Painter, landscape painter, engraver. Studied at MUZHVZ with A.N. Mokritsky (1852-56), then at the Academy of Arts with S.M. Vorobyov (1856-60). Pensioner of the Academy of Arts in Germany and Switzerland (1862 – 1865). Since 1865 - academician, since 1873 - professor of the Academy of Arts; led the landscape workshop of the Higher Art School at the Academy of Arts (1894-95). Founding member of TPHV. Full member of the Academy of Arts since 1893
