Shishmareva Tatyana Vladimirovna

Soviet watercolor artist, graphic artist, book illustrator. She studied at the archaeological faculty of Petrograd University (1923 - 1924). Attended private studios. Among the mentors in painting are N. Radlov, M. Dobuzhinsky, A. Savinov. From 1926 she worked in Detgiz with V. Lebedev, then at the Lenfilm film studio (1932 - 1934), in various publishing houses. Since 1935 she has participated in collective exhibitions. From 1934 to 1946 she taught at Leningrad universities. Member of the Leningrad branch of the Union of Soviet Artists. A personal exhibition of the author’s works took place in 1975.
