Schreyer Adolf

Schreyer Adolf (1828-1899).

German painter. He studied at the Städel Institute in Frankfurt am Main, then at the Düsseldorf and Munich Academy of Arts. After completing his education, he lived in Paris and Frankfurt, from where he traveled to Hungary, Romania, Turkey, Southern Russia, Syria and Egypt. Schreyer's paintings are distinguished by brilliant color, energetic movement and drama. The artist's works are in many museum and private collections.
