Academic theater artist. In the 1930s Pyotr Alekseevich was a decorator for such performances as “Mazepa”, “Sadko”, “La Traviata”, “At the Paris Outpost”, “Carmen”, “The Queen of Spades”, “Katerina”, etc. After the Great Patriotic War, P. A. Shterich got a job at the Leningrad Maly Opera Theater. At the end of the 1940s. was a set designer for such opera performances as “Quiet Don” directed by Z.V. Zakusova, “Werther” N.I. Solovyov and others. In 1952, together with V. M. Khodasevich, he was a set designer for the ballet “Solveig” by L. Jacobson. Later, Pyotr Alekseevich returned to the Mariinsky Theater, where he served until 1976.
