Steinberg Sergei Maximilianovich (1911-1960)

Graphic artist. Son of composer M.O. Steinberg, grandson of N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov. Studied at the Faculty of Biology of Leningrad State University. He received his artistic education at the Lizhsa Advanced Training Courses (1934-1937) with V.I. Trautenburg and A.D. Zaitseva. In 1937-1939 studied at LIZHSA with P.A. Shillingovsky and I.Ya Bilibin. Since 1939 he worked in the Experimental Printing Workshops of the Leningrad State Agricultural Academy. Since 1940 - participant of regional and all-Union exhibitions.
