Shcherbakov Anatoly Ivanovich (1939 - ?). Born in the city of Azov, Rostov region. In 1968, after graduating from the art department of the Krasnodar State Pedagogical Institute, he was sent to the North, to the Murmansk region, where he worked as an art teacher in a secondary school, then as a teacher, and in recent years he directed a children's art school (Kandalaksha). A. I. Shcherbakov is a participant in city, regional, regional, zonal and international exhibitions (in Sweden, Finland, Norway). Personal exhibition in Piteå (Sweden). His works are in many private collections in Russia and abroad, in the Murmansk Art Museum. He died and was buried in Kandalaksha. In 2012, the annual prize named after A.I. Shcherbakov was established. Lyakin Alexander Leonidovich (born 1940) Born in Kandalaksha. He completed art and design courses in Leningrad. He worked as a teacher in a children's art school, as a graphic designer at enterprises in the Murmansk region, in clubs and cinemas. An interesting, original artist, an excellent designer and painter, self-taught. His works graced many regional and republican (in Karelia) exhibitions. Works in private collections in Russia and Scandinavian countries.
