Created in 1930 by jewelers from famous jewelry houses I.P. Khlebnikova, P. A. Ovchinnikova, K. Faberge. Hereditary master scanners Voronin A.V. and Efremov I.K. and jeweler M. Firsov founded an artel, which became the forerunner of the emergence of the Moscow Jewelry Factory (MYZ). This is the only artistic metal processing artel in Moscow at that time. The artel specialized in the production of cigarette cases, rings, brooches, pendants, and cufflinks. The Moscow Jeweler employed experienced craftsmen of the old school, mastering the techniques of engraving, filigree, and granulation. In 1960, the artel was transformed into the Moscow Jewelry Factory. Today it is the largest manufacturer of diamond jewelry in the country.
