Bolshakov Andrey Fedorovich (1889 - 1954) Russian and Soviet artist of applied art, porcelain painter. In 1904 he was accepted as an apprentice to the painting workshop of the Imperial Porcelain Factory (IPF), studied with R.F. Wilde. In 1908 he was accepted for permanent work to the painting workshop of the factory. In 1909-1913, while continuing to work at the factory, he studied at the evening drawing school of the Society for the Encouragement of the Arts. Since 1913 - a painter at the IPF, worked in the underglaze painting technique. After the October Revolution, he continued to work at the factory. In 1918 he was listed in the highest, 1st group of painters of the State Porcelain Factory, performing the most complex work. In 1934, Andrey Bolshakov was appointed head of the painting workshop. In 1944, in honor of the 200th anniversary of the plant, he was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor. He worked at the M.V. Lomonosov State Porcelain Factory until 1953. Multiple participant in city, regional, all-Union and international exhibitions. The works of Andrei Fyodorovich Bolshakov are kept in the State Hermitage, the State Russian Museum, the Elaginoostrovsky Palace Museum, the Peterhof State Museum-Reserve, as well as in other museum and private collections in Russia and abroad.
