Soviet sculptor, artist. She studied at the drawing school of the Society for the Encouragement of Arts in Petrograd (1913-1917) and VKHUTEMAS (1917-1924). The teachers were the sculptor G.R. Zaleman and his student M.G. Manizer. She worked mainly with plaster, specializing in portraiture. In small form sculpture (porcelain) V.S. Drachinskaya is the author of the following models: “Laika” (1947), “Sheepdog” (1947 and 1950), “Bulldog” (1948), “Young woman with gazelle” (1957), “Baby” (1967). Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR, from 1949 to 1958 she taught at the Leningrad Art and Art Pedagogical University.
