The Gzhel Porcelain Factory dates back to 1818, when the founder of the porcelain dynasty, Yakov Vasilyevich Kuznetsov, opened his first enterprise. Kuznetsov immediately established industrial production of ceramic products, unlike other handicraft cooperatives in Gzhel. And now the Gzhel Porcelain Factory is the No. 1 enterprise for the production and sale of traditional hand-painted Gzhel porcelain. The technological process is constantly being improved, but the painting itself, like 200 years ago, is applied to the product by hand by talented Gzhel craftsmen.
