The plant was founded in 1924 in the Kyiv region as a workshop for the production of ceramic paints and decals. After the Second World War, the company opened a workshop for the production of art products. Graduates of the Lvov Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts and the Mirgorod Ceramic College worked at the plant; folk craftsmen from the village made cups with romantic paintings. Petrikovka, Dnepropetrovsk region. The plant was given the task of developing samples of shapes and paintings for other porcelain enterprises in Ukraine. They produced tea and coffee sets (breakfast set, 1952 - F. Klimenko-Zhukova). The products were decorated mainly with floral patterns, made mainly with brush painting. 1954–1988 A graduate of the Odessa Art School, V. I. Shcherbina, worked at the plant. Here he created approx. 1000 sculptural compositions. For many years he was the main artist of the enterprise. Since 1955, sculptor O. L. Zhnikrup worked at the plant. Many works were created on the theme of happy motherhood and childhood by S. V. Bolzan - Golembovskaya, who worked at KEKHZ in 1951–1964. In the 1950s–1970s. At the factory she created sculptures by O. P. Rapai. Over the years, V. T. Musienko, E. M. Nikitaeva, N. G. Gonzalis, G. M. Kaluga, N. G. Lampena, T. V. Lozovaya, I. S. Pekhukha and others worked at the enterprise. In 1993, the plant was privatized.
