This name was given to the nationalized plant of the M.S. Partnership. Kuznetsov, located in the village of Kuznetsovo, Tver province. At the beginning of the twentieth century it was the largest porcelain production in Russia. In the 1920s, the company's product range remained Kuznetsov's. Since the mid-1920s. to work on the shape and painting of vessels and to create sculpture (mainly animalistic), the plant began to attract major artists (I. G. Friedrich-Khar, S. D. Lebedeva, V. A. Favorsky, I. S. Efimov, V. G. Filyanskaya, M. P. Kholodnaya, E. M. Gurevich, G. Ya. Alterman). In 1929, a decision was made to stop the production of porcelain and semi-faience and concentrate efforts on the production of products from faience and majolica. In 1934, an art laboratory was organized at the plant, headed by I.G. Frikh-Khar. At the 1937 Paris World Exhibition, the plant's products won the highest award - the Grand Prix; artists I. Efimov, I. Frikh-Khar, P. Kozhin received gold medals for their sculptural works, and S. Lebedeva received a silver medal for the tea set. During the Great Patriotic War, the plant switched to producing sanitary earthenware and tableware for hospitals. In the first post-war years, a very meager assortment was produced, decorated only by the overglaze method; the assortment included Kuznetsov products. In the 1950s, the plant mastered a wide range of mass products. At the Brussels exhibition in 1958, G.Ya.Altman's tea set won a silver medal; At international ceramics exhibitions in 1962, 1973 and 1984, the plant’s products were also awarded medals. In 1971, the plant was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor.
