STAMOV V. (1914, Koktebel - 1993, St. Petersburg).

Soviet sculptor, draftsman, portrait painter of Bulgarian-Jewish origin; master of easel, monumental, decorative, wooden, garden and park sculpture and small-form plastic arts, also worked in majolica and for mass-produced porcelain; author of monuments, portraits and compositions. Participant in the restoration of sculpture in Leningrad and its suburbs - in Kuchuk-Koy; Corresponding Member of the USSR Academy of Arts (1975), People's Artist of the RSFSR (1986).
