Fedorova Tamara Andrianovna (1928–2009)

Porcelain sculptor, member of the Union of Artists of the USSR, member of the St. Petersburg branch of the Union of Artists of Russia (sculpture section). Sculptor at two leading enterprises of the porcelain industry - the oldest in Russia Leningrad Porcelain Factory (LZFI) and the Red Porcelain Factory in Chudovo. Known for her works: 1950s - “Young violinist” (“To music”), “Skater”, “Figure skater”, “Young football player”, “Birch” (1953); 1960s - “Tea Party”, “African Woman with a Drum”, “Girl with a Mirror”. Also known: “Baby with Easter cake”, “Falling Leaves”, “Moving”, “Ditties” and many others. Her porcelain figurines, in demand and popular among amateurs, are made in the best traditions of socialist realism. Porcelain miniatures reveal the theme of carefree Soviet childhood, telling about its most everyday, ordinary manifestations - playing sports, music, studying at school - everything was supposed to show how well and calmly children lived in the Soviet country.
