Sculptor. People's Artist of the USSR, laureate of the USSR State Prize, full member of the Russian Academy of Arts. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR since 1943. Born on December 2, 1918 in the village of Big Shagrar, in Armenia. He studied with the outstanding Russian sculptor A.T. Matveev at the Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture of the All-Russian Academy of Arts in Leningrad (1940-1941) and at the State Academic Art Institute named after V. Surikov in Moscow (1944-1947). The works of N. B. Nikoghosyan are kept in the State Russian Museum, in the State Tretyakov Gallery, in the Museum of Oriental Art, in the State Art Gallery of Armenia and in many museums in Russia and the former Soviet republics, as well as in foreign private collections.
