Soviet sculptor. In 1931 he graduated from the Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after I.E. Repin, where he studied in the sculpture department under the direction of A.T. Matveeva. He completed his educational practice at the Proletary porcelain factory in Novgorod and the State (Leningrad) porcelain factory. After graduating from the institute in 1930–1931, he worked as an artist-sculptor at the Dmitrov Porcelain Factory. In the 1930s he was the head of the Art Department at the Ulyanovsk Museum.
