Nikonova Irina Nikolaevna (1910-1997)

Soviet sculptor, teacher. From 1929 to 1931 she studied at VKHUTEIN-INPII under V.A. Sinaisky. From 1936 to 1941 she studied at the Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture with V.A. Sinaisky, and from 1945 to 1946 with A.T. Matveeva. In 1930 - 1934 she worked as an artist in the fabric painting workshop at LenIzo. Since the 1950s, he has been a participant in city, regional, all-Union and international exhibitions. In 1946 - 1957 - teacher at the Higher Art and Industrial School (LVHPU). From 1957 to 1967 she worked at the Leningrad Porcelain Factory. The author's works are presented in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, the All-Russian Museum of Decorative Arts, the State Hermitage, as well as in private collections.
