Scholz Karl Gustavovich (1837-1907)

Famous architect of German origin, master of turning and carving. He came from Prussia at the invitation of the Baryatinsky family in the late 1860s. Together with Ippolit Monighetti, he was involved in the reconstruction of the Maryino estate in the village of Ivanovskoye, Lgovsky district, Kursk province. Subsequently, he opened a turning and carved workshop here. Various elements from Scholz's workshop were used in decoration during the reconstruction of the Maryino, Kachanovka estates, Filimonov's house in Rylsk, etc. Orders for furnishing rooms were carried out.
