Taiga Olga Petrovna (1910 - 2007)

Soviet sculptor. In 1929 she graduated from the sculpture studio of the Baumansky Department of Public Education in Moscow. Since 1933 - member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. 1930s - participant of city, regional, all-Union and international exhibitions. Tayozhnaya’s sculptural work “Morning” received top awards at exhibitions in New York and Paris. Winner of the competition of the Theater Museum named after. A.A. Bakhrushin on the sculpture of the ballerina Geltser in dance from the ballet “Red Poppy”. During the Great Patriotic War, she went to the front several times and painted portraits of various military leaders. In the 1960s - 1970s she worked at the Dulevo porcelain factory. Some of her works were produced at the Kasli iron foundry. The author's works are presented in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, the All-Russian Museum of Decorative Arts and other museums, as well as in private collections.
