Tarasenko Alexander Vasilievich

Soviet and Russian sculptor. Graduated from the Moscow Art Institute named after Surikov. Thesis work - project of a monument to M.S. Shchepkin for the Moscow Theater School on Pushechnaya Street. The monument to Shchepkin was erected in 1980. Member of the Union of Artists since 1983. Honored Artist of Russia. Teacher at Moscow State Academy of Arts named after Surikov since 1989. He took part in the reconstruction of the sculptural decoration of the recreated Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow. The sculptor's works are in the collection of the State Tretyakov Gallery.
