Sculptor. Member of the St. Petersburg Union of Artists since 1972. Graduated from the Tauride Art School in 1961. She continued her education at the Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. I.E. Repin (1961-1969). For her diploma work “Young Lenin”, presented at the exhibition “For the Lenin Jubilee - Craftsmanship and the Search for the Young” in 1969, she was awarded a 1st degree Diploma. Since 1969, L. E. Volkova was assigned to work in the creative group of the Leningrad sculpture plant. Since 1968, she has been a constant participant in St. Petersburg (Leningrad), All-Union, Foreign and international exhibitions. In the 70-90s. Volkova Lyudmila performed original works at the LFZ: portrait compositions: “N. Makarova", "G. Ulanova", "L. Turishcheva". In 1975, this work was presented in bronze at the exhibition “Mostra artisti dell’URSS 1975” in Italy). Other original works were performed at the LFZ: the ballet composition “Giselle”, “Gymnast Sitting with a Hoop”, “Woman with a Child”, “Ballet”, “Boy Sitting on a Ball”. In 1996 work at the LFZ was resumed: “Three Gymnasts”, “Gymnast with a Ball”, “Embroiderer”, etc. For the “Olympics -80”, 5 works on a sports theme were cast in bronze at the Monumentsculpture plant.
