The Safronov porcelain factory was founded in 1814 by peasant Anton Trofimovich Safronov in the village of Korotkaya, Bogorodsky district, Moscow province. After the death of the founder, it came into the possession of his relative Ilya Abramovich Safronov. The plant existed until the 60s. XIX century. In terms of product quality, it was considered one of the best factories in Gzhel, as if defining the face of this area. At an exhibition of manufactured goods in Moscow in 1849, the Safronov plant was awarded public praise and approval for its products. The products of the Safronov porcelain factory were distinguished by the high quality of artistic painting. Due to the relatively short period of time that Safronov's porcelain factory existed, its products are now of great collector's interest.
