Russian book publisher. The books that Tuzov published are the works of the fathers of the Orthodox Church and translations of foreign publications. He acquired various kinds of manuscripts and published them; Thus, in 1880, the work of Thomas a à Kempis, “On the Imitation of Christ,” was published based on a newly discovered original manuscript, translated from the Latin by the chief prosecutor of the Holy Synod, K. P. Pobedonostsev. The works of the English theologian F.W. Farrar were particularly successful - “The Life of Jesus Christ”, “The Life and Works of St. Paul the Apostle” and “The First Days of Christianity”. Each book contained about a thousand pages with many illustrations and an appendix of colored maps of Palestine and the travels of St. Apostle Paul. The publications were published in luxurious calico binding with a gold edge, on excellent paper. The Imperial Public Library purchased six hundred books of spiritual content from Tuzov in 1897 alone. In 1886, Tuzov was awarded the Order of St. Anna, third degree, in gratitude for the construction of a new wooden church in the Tver province.
