Tauber Viktor Isaevich (1901-1990).

Graphic artist, book artist. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. Studied at VKHUTEIN (1922-1923). He drew for the magazine “Murzilka”. Illustrated fairy tales by G.Kh. Andersen, the Brothers Grimm, created picture books and a number of excellent autolithographs based on the plots of fairy tales. In the 1950s The book “Puss in Boots” by Charles Perrault with his amazing drawings went through numerous reprints. In the last years of his life he worked on illustrations for the book “The Master and Margarita” by M. Bulgakov
