Painter, representative of the Vladimir school of landscape painting. Husband of the artist N.S. Lugovskaya. In 1937, he was arrested as the son of a German and spent several years in the Kolyma camps. Then he worked as an artist in the theaters of Magadan, Sterlitamak, Kizel and Vladimir. In Magadan I talked with the artist V.I. Shukhaev. Since 1962, he worked in the Art and Industrial Workshops of the Vladimir Branch of the Russian Federation Union of Artists. Participant of many exhibitions. Works by V.L. Templin are in a number of museums in Russia, as well as in foreign and domestic private collections.
