Терещенко В.С.

Tereshchenko Valentin Stepanovich (born 1941, Irkutsk).

He graduated from the Irkutsk Art School (1960), then from the Belarusian Theater and Art Institute (1973). Studied with professor, academician of the Russian Academy of Arts A.I. Alekseev and Professor V.P. Sharangovich. In 1971 he received the Gold Medal of the Academy of Arts for a series of autolithographs illustrating the works of Yakub Kolos. Since 1974 - member of the Moscow Organization of Artists. Participant of more than a hundred collective art exhibitions, both in Russia and abroad. The artist’s works are in the Sinaga Museum in Milan, in the Torre Canavese Museum in Turin, in many art museums in Rostov, Tomsk, Bryansk, Irkutsk, in the Belarusian Art Museum, as well as in private collections in Europe, America, and Japan. A museum of the artist has been opened in the village of Gubino near Tomsk.
