Enters the 2nd year of the painting department of the Baku Art School in the class of a student of I. Repin - I. G. Ryzhenko - 1934. The Azerbaijan Museum of Fine Arts acquires several works by A. D. Tikhomirov, dedicated to the anniversary of Shota Rustaveli - 1935. Works in art department of the Azerbaijan Anti-Religious Museum - 1938. Joins the Union of Azerbaijan Artists - 1938. Works at the Art Factory of the Azerbaijan Branch of the Art Fund - 1941-1945. Enters the 3rd year of the Moscow Art Institute. Surikov in the class of A. Osmerkin - 1945. Works at the Combine of Monumental and Decorative Arts - 1949-1976. He retires and continues to embody his painting ideas; the artist’s works are acquired by museums and collectors - 1976-1995. Died in Moscow - 03/30/1995. Currently, the works of A.D. Tikhomirov are stored in museums in Russia, Azerbaijan, Italy, in private Russian and foreign collections (France, Canada, USA, Australia, etc.).
