Vasily Timofeevich Timofeev was educated at the Academy of Arts as a free student. In 1864, he was awarded the title of artist of the third degree for his work “A Jewish Boy Says a Prayer.” He painted mainly portraits and heads. Participated in traveling academic exhibitions.
