Ukrainian artist, painter and graphic artist, author of landscapes, genre paintings, numerous drawings and pastels. He studied at the Academy of Arts with P. Chistyakov, V. Orlovsky, M. Klodt (1882-1887). He graduated from the Academy of Arts with a large gold medal and the title of class artist of the 1st degree. AH pensioner in France. He studied at the Cormon Academy in Paris (1888-1892). Together with S. Vasilkovsky, M. Berkos, N. Uvarov and A. Beketov, commissioned by the architect V. Krichevsky, he worked on the interior of the Poltava Zemstvo building in Kharkov. Active participant of exhibitions. The main theme of creativity is seascapes. Works by M.S. Tkachenko's works are kept in art collections in Kharkov, Lvov, the State Russian Museum, many other museums and private collections. The works were exhibited at Sotheby`s Christie`s auctions.
