Tokarev Vladimir Fedorovich

Soviet painter, representative of the Leningrad school of painting. Member of the Leningrad Union of Artists. In 1939-1948 he studied at the Rostov Art School (with a break in 1941-1945). In 1954 he graduated from the painting department of the Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after I.E. Repin, where he studied with M.I. Avilov and Yu.M. Neprintsev. Since 1954 - participant in zonal, republican, all-Union and international exhibitions. In 1958-1961 he worked as artistic director at the House of Creativity "Akademicheskaia dacha" named after I.E. Repin. The author's works are presented in the collections of the State Russian Museum, the State Tretyakov Gallery, in many regional museums of Russia, as well as in private collections.
