Association of fast printing A.A. Levinson.

The A. A. Levenson Printing Company is one of the famous and best printing houses and publishing houses of the Russian Empire. The Printing House of A. A. Levenson opened on March 31, 1881. Initially, having only one printing press and a manual printing press, it received minor orders for printing business cards and commercial invoices. A few years later, an order was received to print the News of the Day newspaper. In 1887, with the attraction of shareholders, it turned into a limited partnership “Trading House of A. Levenson and Co.”, and in 1890 it was reorganized into the “A. A. Levenson Quick Printing Partnership.” In 1896, the partnership fulfilled the order of the Ministry of the Imperial Court for the coronation of Nicholas II and Alexandra Feodorovna and was awarded the title of Supplier of the Court of His Imperial Majesty. Before this, in 1895 it received a large silver medal from the Ministry of Finance, and in 1896 a gold medal at an exhibition in Paris in memory of the centenary of lithography. In 1900, a gold medal for the products of the partnership was awarded at the Paris World Exhibition; at the same time, the workshop manager was awarded a gold medal, the lithography manager was awarded a silver medal, and the lithography assistant manager was awarded a bronze medal. The printing house existed until 1917, but the building has survived to this day and is a cultural heritage site of federal significance.
