Trofimov Viktor Evgenievich (1953, Leningrad - 2012, St. Petersburg)

Soviet and Russian artist. Graduated from the Leningrad Art and Graphic Pedagogical School. He studied with K. Zastensky and Boris Isaakovich Gurvich. After a brief teaching job, in 1976 he entered the Lennauchfilm film studio, where he worked as an artist, animator and director for 14 years. Since 1975, he began painting independently, regularly taking part in official and unofficial exhibitions. He worked as a book graphic artist in St. Petersburg publishing houses: NORTH-WEST, CORONA PRINT, ENLIGHTENMENT-CULTURE, ORBIS, ALETHEA. Many works are in private collections in Russia, Belgium, Finland, the USA, Germany and England, as well as in the Museum of Nonconformism, the Museum of Modern Art of St. Petersburg and the Hermitage-Vyborg Exhibition Center.
