Tyulkin Alexander Erastovich

Painter, teacher. Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1960) and the BASSR (1944), People's Artist of the BASSR (1955), member of the Union of Artists of the USSR since 1937. One of the founders of fine art in Bashkortostan. Graduated from the Kazan Art School (1918, teacher N.I. Feshin). In 1917-1918 he participated in exhibitions of the Ufa Society of Art Lovers. In the 1920s was one of the organizers and teachers of the Ufa branch of the Higher State Art and Technical Workshops. He painted mainly landscapes and still lifes using tempera technique. The artist's personal exhibitions took place in 1943 (Ufa) and 1945 (Moscow). In 1926-1950s. taught at the art department of the Bashkir State College of Arts. In 1937, 1944 he was elected chairman of the Union of Artists of the BASSR. Awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor (1955). Laureate of the Republican Prize named after. S. Yulaeva (1975).
