Ulyanov Alexander Vladimirovich

Born on July 28, 1959 in Yaroslavl in the family of an artist. In 1978 he graduated from the Yaroslavl Art School. From that time his creative activity began. In 1988 he graduated from the art and graphic department of the Kostroma State Pedagogical Institute. Since 1993, member of the Union of Artists. Participant of regional, regional, republican, and foreign (France, Germany, America, Austria, Finland, China) exhibitions, the international exhibition “Russia-Belarus” (1997). Personal exhibitions - Nefteyugansk (1995), Nizhny - Novgorod, Arzamas (1996), Yaroslavl (1998, 2009). A.V. Ulyanov is a realist by conviction and in his creative style. He relies on the traditions of the Russian art school and his beliefs in this sense are quite definite. Attentive attitude to form, color, careful attitude to the surface of the canvas with a certain method of working on the work distinguishes him from among our artists. Favorite genre of A.V. Ulyanov is a landscape, still life, but there are also portraits in his work. A.V. Ulyanov is one of the few contemporary Yaroslavl artists working on creating genre works. This is exactly what his works are, emotional, turned to metaphor and symbolism. They are landmarks in Ulyanov’s work and testify to the mastery achieved by the artist, his acquisition of his own visual language, and as works of public interest, they are marked by good reviews from viewers and specialists. In 1999 he was awarded a diploma from the Union of Artists of Russia, in 2008 he was awarded a Certificate of Honor from the Mayor of Yaroslavl, and in 2009 he was awarded a Certificate of Honor from the Department of Culture of the Yaroslavl Region. The works are in many Russian and foreign private collections.
