Born 10/30/1933 in Kostroma. Graduated from the Yaroslavl Art College (1954). He taught at Children's Art School No. 1 in Yaroslavl (1954-1967). Member of the Union of Artists of Russia since 1958. Participant of regional, zonal, regional, republican, all-Union and foreign (France, Italy, England, Germany, America, Canada, Singapore, China, Japan, New Zealand and other countries) exhibitions; international exhibitions: England (1973), Yugoslavia (1981), Denmark (1984), Moscow, Minsk (1997), China (2001-2002). Honored Artist of Russia since 1979. He was elected chairman of the board of the Yaroslavl Union of Artists (1982-1984). Founder and director of the Creative Association of Easel Painters “Izograf” (1994). He was awarded an incentive prize at the All-Union Sports Poster Competition (1954) and medals “For Valiant Labor. In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of V.A. Lenin" (1970), "In memory of the 850th anniversary of Moscow" (1997), the honorary badge-medal "For sacrificial service" of the All-Russian public movement "Russia" (2001), the medal "Russian Land" (2008). Personal exhibitions: Yaroslavl (1978, 1983, 1998, 2004), Rybinsk (1978, 1984), Tutaev (1984), Danilov (2002). The works are in museum collections in Yaroslavl, Rybinsk, Rostov the Great, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Uglich, Orel, Pskov, Blagoveshchensk, and in many Russian and foreign private collections.
