In 1966, after graduating from art school in Tashkent, he entered VGIK in Moscow, studied with famous artists of Russia - People's Artist of the USSR Yuri Pimenov, People's Artist of the RSFSR Ivan Petrovich Ivanov - Vano, Honored Artist of the RSFSR Vitaly Tokarev. The artist’s creativity is nurtured by the rich cultural and historical tradition and heritage of his people and inspired by the powerful charge of world art. Without exaggeration, we can say that in the stellar line of great masters of our time there is a place that is worthily occupied by the People's Artist of Uzbekistan, academician Javlon Umarbekov.
