Vakhrameev Alexander Ivanovich

Painter, graphic artist. He studied at the private art school of M. Tenisheva with I. Repin (1895), then at the Academy of Arts with P.O. Kovalevsky (1896-1904). Participant in exhibitions since 1902 (AH, “New Society of Artists”, etc.) Participated in the painting of the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Sofia (1912, Bulgaria). He painted for the St. Petersburg magazines “Jester” (1902), “Gamayun” (1906), “Spring” (1914), etc. A personal exhibition was held in 1927 in Leningrad. He taught at the Penza Art School (1906-1909), the Drawing School of the OPKh in St. Petersburg (1912-1918), and the Vkhutemas in Leningrad (1920-1925). The artist’s works are stored in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, the State Museum of Art, and the Pushkin Museum. Pushkin, in many regional museums, as well as in private collections in Russia and abroad.
