Theater artist. Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1957). From 1928-1930 studied at the Kiev Art Institute with V.G. Krichevsky and V.E. Tatlin. He began his theatrical activities in 1927 and worked in theaters in Moscow, Kyiv and other cities. In 1943-1965. – worked as the chief artist of the Transport Theater (since 1959, the Gogol Drama Theater).
