Russian Soviet artist and graphic artist, Honored Artist of the RSFSR (1946), People's Artist of Russia (1970), author of postage stamps. He created a number of drawings and paintings dedicated to V.I. Lenin and I.V. Stalin. In 1914-1919 he studied at the Odessa Art School. In 1921-1926 he studied at the Odessa Art Institute, where his teachers were K.K. Kostandi and P.G. Volokidin.
