Weber Rudolf

Austrian painter and watercolorist. Born in Vienna. He received his initial artistic education from theater artist A. Brioschi. He studied at the Vienna Academy of Arts with the outstanding teacher of Austrian landscape painting E. P. von Lichtenfels. He regularly exhibited mountain landscapes in Vienna. From 1900 to 1921 he lived in Spiez, Lower Austria. At this time, he made creative trips around Austria and lived for a long time in Italy. From 1933 he lived and worked in Krems an der Donau and was a member of the Wachau Artists' Union, a region in Lower Austria. He supported the realistic tradition of the Austrian and Italian landscape school. He painted mainly landscapes and also portraits.
