Painter, graphic artist. From 1901 to 1904 he studied at the Kiev Art School with N.K. Pimonenko and I.F. Selezneva. From 1904 to 1905 he studied at the school of A. Ashbe and I. E. Grabar in Munich. In 1905 he entered the Higher Art School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture at the Imperial Academy of Arts, studying under the guidance of K. Marr and A. Wagner. He graduated from the course in 1908. In 1912 he taught at the Vilna drawing classes. Until 1921 he lived in St. Petersburg, then in Moscow. He was a member and exhibitor of the AKhRR (AKhR). The works are in a number of museum collections, including the State Tretyakov Gallery.
