Vlasov Vasily Adrianovich

Vlasov Vasily Adrianovich (1905, St. Petersburg - 1979, Leningrad).

He studied at the Academy of Arts with Petrov-Vodkin and Savinov and even, they say, received parting words from I.E. himself. Repina. He worked in magazines, book publishing houses, in particular – Detgiz. Member of the Union of Artists since 1934. In 1938 he was the main artist of the film “Vyborg Side”. During the Great Patriotic War, he prepared posters, leaflets, and anti-fascist materials for the Front Political Directorate in Leningrad. Front-line soldiers remember the propaganda playing cards of his work. After the war, he collaborated with publishing houses in Leningrad and Moscow. He was friends with Lebedev, Pakhomov, Kurdov, Vasnetsov. A man of the highest culture, broad knowledge and interest in life, Vasily Vlasov left memories that are kept in the State Russian Museum.
