Volkov Alexander Vasilievich (1916-1978).

Moscow painter. Associate Professor of the Department of Painting at the Moscow Higher Art and Industrial School (formerly Stroganov School). Studied at the Moscow Institute of Arts with Sergei Gerasimov (1937-1942). Participant in exhibitions since 1943. Worked mainly in the genre of Soviet thematic paintings: “Liberation”, “In the Forge”, “Fresh Mail”, etc. The artist’s works are stored in a number of regional museums of Russia. (Nizhny Novgorod, Ryazan, Yaroslavl).
