Corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Arts. Studied at INGSA named after. I.E. Repin in Leningrad (1953-1958). Since 1956 participant of exhibitions. He won a gold medal at the international exhibition “20 Years of the Space Age” (Moscow-New York, 1986). The artist's personal exhibitions were held in Moscow (1970, 1971, 1988, 1991), in Berlin (1984), in 1991 in Düsseldorf, Esslingen, Luxembourg, and in France (1990, 1997, 1998). Vukolov's works were exhibited in Poland (1976, 1984), Germany (1979, 1982, 1988, 1991), Canada (1979), USA (1979, 1986), Germany (1981), Switzerland (1982), Austria (1985, 1988), France (1988, 1990, 1996, 1997). The artist’s works are in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Moscow Museum of Modern Art, the Museum of History and Reconstruction of Moscow, the P. Ludwig Museum in Cologne, the Tatarstan Museum of Fine Arts, and many regional museums.
