Vygzhivalsky Felix Mikhailovich (1875 - 1944)

Polish painter, genre painter, marine painter. In 1893, having received an art scholarship, he went to Munich, where he studied at the Academy of Arts with L. Herterich and K. von Marr. Then study in Paris and work in Rome. In 1906, in search of new themes for his paintings, he went to Egypt, where he created a series of works that attract attention with their original exotic subjects and bright, rich colors. In 1907 he returned to Lviv. Works for the Polish weekly "Wкdrowiec", Russian and German magazines. During the First World War and the Civil War he traveled around Russia. In 1925 he returned to Lvov to live according to the idea of ​​Anatole Franz - “...for his own pleasure.”
